Seven sites sit directly on the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River, accessed via the old highway to Yellow Pine Campground. The road is narrow. Campers towing large rigs or driving RVs should plan an alternate route, as the corridor does not accommodate oversized vehicles. Each site includes a fire ring and a small parking area, and two pit toilets serve the area. The sites are free, with no reservation required. Down the road, the town of Yellow Pine has a bar with WiFi for those needing connectivity. Anglers and anyone who wants a riverside camp with free camping around Payette National Forest will find this a practical base.
Description
This is a dispersed camping area located along the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River. The site is full during the Yellow Pine Harmonica Festival held in late July to early August most years, but otherwise is generally available for use. A good spot if you have stock. There are few amenities, 2 vault restrooms and fire rings mark the dispersed campsites. Some tables are available. Sites are accessed by native surface roads (gravel).

Directions
Access from McCall would be via Lick Creek road and takes approximately 2 hours. Access can also be from the Warm Lake Highway outside of Cascade.
