It’s a long and bumpy drive to the back of the last camping area, but soooo worth it. We were greeted by a pack of donkeys who were very friendly and let us pet them. Then our camp was close enough to other campers but not cramped at all we still had plenty of our own space to not disturb our neighbors. They had no clue we got in a little after dark and set up camp and cooked food on our grill. When we woke up we were greeted with the most amazing Colorado sunrise over the mountains and water. We were in awe of the beauty that first morning waking up in the mountains. We went fishing and although we had no luck because we are from Ohio and don’t know how to catch trout lol we saw lots of people leaving with some nice sized fish. We will definitely be back. This was definitely a slice of heaven on earth.
