This is a great dispersed area with hiking and lake access for kayaking/SUP. Beautiful views of the mountains around the lake. We camped in Early June and all the snow wasn't close to thawing. We camping in a snowbank and the ground was very wet, so would recommend a RTT. It would be difficult to find a spot with a trailing considering smaller sites and the area being so popular.
