Carter Lake is really a hidden gem I never knew existed. We came after leaving Flatiron Campground but they were booked up AND we had a tornado watch going. The CG sits right on a cliff overlooking the lake. Beautiful views of the sunset but I’m in a teardrop so not where I wanted to be in a high wind situation. I would be back tho looked like a fun place. Dirt pads but level. Vault toilet close.
