Hmmm... you showed up more than an hour and a half before check-in without calling ahead to see if that's okay, you could see us busy cleaning restrooms & tidying sites but instead of walking out to us to ask if it's okay to proceed to your site early you stood on the porch waving your hands and smashing the doorbell, then you parked your vehicle a good 10' short of the front of the campsite so your rear end was blocking the exit lane for 3 other guests, and then threw an absolute fit and left when we politely asked you to pull forward into your site. But, we're the rude ones? Got it.
For the record: We're a small, Mom & Pop campground and we close down from 11am-2pm every day to allow us time to complete daily maintenance between guests. There's a lot of work that needs to be done during that time so we cannot be stopping to answer phones or do early check-ins. Our office hours are clearly posted on our website, Google listing, confirmation emails, in the window of the camp store... That said, we are typically happy to accommodate early arrivals whenever possible and just ask that people call ahead (during office hours) and understand that there will not be anyone available to assist them with check-in at that time.
