Description
The northern California Coast Range, about 15 miles inland from the Pacific, holds this BLM dispersed pull-off within the Lacks Creek Management Area at roughly 1,000 feet elevation — mixed conifer and oak country threaded with short multi-use trails. On clear evenings the terrain opens up enough to catch distant ocean views to the west, though coastal fog can settle into the valleys and obscure the horizon. The gravel access road via Bair Road off Highway 299 is well-maintained and manageable for larger rigs; the alternate route via Old 3 Creeks Road has been subject to closures and should be verified before use.
