Description
A logging road on the lower slopes of Hampton Butte in Lassen National Forest leads to this single-vehicle pullout, which sits above the South Fork Battle Creek drainage with open valley views and good sun exposure. The rough road in is suited to passenger vehicles and shorter rigs only — no trailers or large motorhomes. A low-key overnight stop on the approach to Lassen Volcanic National Park, roughly a mile from the village of Mineral.
