Dinkey Creek Road Dispersed — Sierra NF

The mixed-conifer belt of Sierra National Forest near Dinkey Creek Road holds this dispersed area at elevation — high enough that evenings cool down noticeably even in summer. Several near-level sites are scattered among the trees, each set back just enough to be out of sight from the road, with old fire rings marking long-used clearings. ATV traffic on nearby routes can carry noise into camp, and biting insects can be heavy in late spring.
