Hot with limited shade and campsites with little privacy, but this place is all about the swimming hole. The water is clean and inviting, the beach is wide and covered with shake rocks, and the views up the sides of the steep banks are beautiful! We battled meat bees and mosquitos a bit. The camp hosts are great people; they’re kind and vigilant. They take excellent care of the place and their campers. We were there Fri-Sun, and the trains ran much more on the Friday than on Sat/ Sun. I’m posting a video with the train noise. We found it kind of cool and eeirie — wasn’t too bothersome. Lovely campground all in all!
