Description

On the volcanic tableland east of the Sierra crest, this BLM pullout off a rough forest road opens onto an unobstructed westward panorama — the Minarets, Banner Peak, and Mount Ritter filling the skyline at elevation. The access track is rugged enough to warrant high clearance, though manageable for capable stock vehicles; towing a trailer is not advisable given the road condition and tight turnaround.
