Description
A broad, open riverbed flat on Ruby Road in the southern reaches of Coronado National Forest, sitting in high-desert scrub at roughly 4,000 feet between Peña Blanca Lake and Arivaca. The spot faces south with wide skies and no shade, and an existing fire pit makes for an easy overnight. Border Patrol vehicles pass through on the road intermittently after dark, and wildlife in the area warrants keeping food and trash secured.
