Quirky Stop on the Way To Grand Canyon

I never knew this place existed until I was driving north from Williams and BOOM - Giant Dinosaur!

It was a bit of an exciting moment which instantly took me back to childhood and I thought at first it was just a weird roadside stop, but then I discovered it was a bit more than just that it is in fact an attraction and RV park.

I went in to inquire about the large BedRock village behind the main store and man was it a surprise. For $5 you can walk through some pretty interesting recreations of the cartoon and talk all the instagrammable photos you could desire. For an additional $18 if you were in an RV you could get the real BedRock experience with a stay at the facility for the night.

While this sounded great, we unfortunately did not travel in an RV so there could be no stay in Bedrock for us, but we did have a little fun around the property before pressing onward to the Grand Canyon.

Just around 20 minutes from the Grand Canyon entrance you will find this little random gem that is a bit outdated and need of some upgrades. I can see how in the past this place was probably something special but not it is something which leaves a little to be desired in way of needing some new paint.

I asked for future reference about amenities and I was told that they offer full hook ups, showers, toilets, a laundry service and also some outdoor activities for the family that didn't include the Bedrock City itself. It looked like a place that as a kid I would greatly enjoy. So maybe next time!
