This camp ground is a nice little Arizona hidden gem. Considering how dry and desert landscapey Arizona is, this was an absolutely beautiful place to camp and I felt like I was in Washington or Oregon with all the trees so bring a hammock for your campsite! This place costs 14 a day for the single sites, and 28 a day for the double sites. Bring exact cash because it is a self service and there is no cash back and all spots are first come first serve. I camped here on a Saturday and Sunday and it wasn’t super busy at all. The camp host was super friendly and came around the share the temperature expected for the night and to see if I needed firewood. The stars at night time are absolutely breathtaking!! The bathrooms are kept fairly clean for a port-a-potty type setup. Be aware mountain lions, bobcats, raccoons, and bears are all possible here so make sure no food is left out overnight. I ended up having a bear come through my campsite on the second night and it refused to leave for over an hour so I had to leave my campsite and sleep elsewhere. The reason this place got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the noise level. The OHV trail was right behind my campsite so I heard them almost all day long, as well as the generator noises from the RVs which both stopped at a decent hour. These campsites are very very close to a highway so road noise is pretty loud 24/7. Other than that I couldn’t have picked a better camp spot! I very highly recommend camping here!
