Good times!!

Great place, super nice and helpful staff, good times!!! There’s a lot of different offerings that this camp ground provides. Several campsites, full, partial, and primitive. Boat, bike, golf cart and ATV/Dirt Bike/Side by Side accommodations. Shaded level sites with a few that might need a lil…

Pleasant Surpise

Started out the day looking for a different place in De Soto National Forest, but got lost and found this campground. Was very surprised at how clean and neat the areas were. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The trail was a short .5 mile nature walk, but beautiful and relaxing. All…

Stopover Gem

This is a great place for a stopover. Tent spots lined the waterside and they allowed boondockers. Clean restrooms. Boat ramp that the locals frequent often. There is a friendly and helpful host from October until April. He locked the gate at night. We have stayed at the host site in late spring…

Nice campground

Bathroom, shower, trail. What more do you need. I wanted to checkout the trail but the rain kept coming but at least it was warm 65°. Nice place to stop on my journey east. Not too many people on a Wednesday night in February.

I grew up camping this park.

It was nice to revisit this park and reminisce. This is a very well maintained park with nice shady campsites. It is definitely one of the best parks in the area. They have bath houses with washers and dryers on site. The campgrounds have their own beach but, the bottom is usually soft and oozy…

Beautiful peaceful place

Very peaceful place on the Tombigbee River. We enjoyed our stay so much. The campground is so clean. The bathhouses are very nice and well maintained. Perfect spot to put a boat in. The volunteers are helpful. Easy to get in and out of the campground. The spot we stayed on was a pull through on…

So Peaceful!!

Our first camping trip. This was the perfect spot. Small campground with big spots. Lots of pull through spots right on the river. So quiet. Nice bathhouses. Will definitely be back. Very nice volunteers.

Very nice and peaceful!

Very nice and clean campground. Plenty of room between spaces. Space was uneven but nothing my leveling blocks couldn't handle. Had water, 50/30 amp and sewer hook-up. There is also a dump station on the grounds. Had picnic table about 10-15 ft from camper slab. Also had fire pit about 15 ft…

Lake Perry

Nice camp spot to spend the night. Came in July, not to crowded and had showers.

Right on the River

We arrived late to the campground, super friendly campground hosts were more than happy to accomodate us. The campground was clean and tucked away behind trees. Lots of privacy and we even had our own pier out to the water behind our campsite. Would definitely recommend planning ahead because…

Maynor Creek

Beautiful views! Lake is very peaceful. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. There sites are single and a few double, most are full hook up but not all so if sewer is a must have make sure to ask for full hook ups. There are lots of good shaded sites! Campsites seem well maintained, not all…

Tiny site along the river, middle of nowhere

You need a boat to enjoy this area, though there are a few sports courts to enjoy while camping. There is a small historic museum and some restaurants and stores about 15 miles away. Simple but clean amenities. All the sites are close to the water, most are quite shady.

**Yay: nice wooded…

Cute little campground

This is the furthest campground northeast in the forest/park, making it as far away from New Orleans as possible...which is nice for minimizing crowds. Perfect base camp for traveling deep into DeSoto National Forest while still being close enough to civilization (quaint Beaumont!).

Quiet campground with great water access

This campground only has 10 or so sites and could be tricky with large rigs. But if you're able to get in it's great. Very quiet with beautiful views from most sites. If you want to relax on a nice lake and fish or kayak this is the place. Oh and at $13 per night with water and electric you can…
