Plenty of available spaces, and I think even in the heart of summer there would be availability. The dirt road isn't the kind you need to do a Hail Mary to drive down. Our van did just fine, and I think a big rig could handle itself. While outside you can hear the cars from the main highway nearby, but not close enough to be obnoxious. The stars were spectacular
