Big Eddy is about 30 minutes up an unpaved road, towards Baxter State Park. We followed the directions online and got there fine, although it may be harder in difficult weather.

The campsite has really nice bathrooms and showers ($2 per shower). The facilities are extremely clean and the staff was nice. The river rapids open into a beautiful pond with a big eddy current where people swim and fish. Be aware there aren't any hiking spots within walking distance from the campsite; you'll need to drive into Baxter to go hiking.

This is a beautiful, clean, quiet campsite I would go to again. I would recommend reviewing the directions online because there's no service when you get about 30 minutes from the campsite!
