Loveliest campground in Olympic National Park

This is a national park campground with perks. First, it's stunningly gorgeous - most of the campground is nestled in moss-coated old-growth cedar/hemlock forest. But second, you're walking distance from the Sol Duc camp store, where you can buy all the things you forgot to pack (plus some extremely reasonably priced and well-selected beers). Third, if you forgot to pack ANY food at all there's a fantastic restaurant on site, and if that wasn't enough there's the hot springs to attract you here. Can't imagine what else you'd want at a campground!

  • These stellar's jays were FEARLESS. beware equally fearless gray jays, chickarees, raccoons, and slightly more skittish nighttime campsite visitors like black bears and deer.
