Rasar State Park Campground

Trails everywhere with interpretive signs, gorgeous river banks, wide open fields, berry picking, movie night (101 Dalmatians), volleyball court, good ranger presence keeps things cleaner and quieter, tall trees...  If there were clear views of Mt. Baker, this might be five stars.  That shy beast of a mountain is a few miles down the highway.  I said "Dash Point" state park in the video when it was really Rasar (dork).

Hiking Galore Within Campgrounds, Gateway to Mt. Baker

Three mamas and our young boys enjoyed a weekend camping at Rasar State Park. Proximity to Seattle and availability were key to our choice to camp here. And what a great choice! The campsite accommodated all three tents and the huge picnic table and water spigot at our campsite were extremely helpful. Trails abound through open fields and dense woods down to the gorgeous Skagit River on a series of connecting trails. There's also a volleyball court and playground. Facilities are well maintained and cleaned. We'll be back!

Great family camping spot

We just spent two nights cold weather camping here. It’s a beautiful quiet park with very spacious lots. There is not a lot to do besides hiking, but if you are looking for peace and quiet in the woods, this might be the ticket. 

Spacious Getaway

It was exceptionally nice especially because we were a walk-in. Place was crowed during the week in summer. But the facilities, trails and river access was well kept. I totally recommend staying here and enjoy a dip in the river. 

Spectacular place! 

A nice camp ground about 1.5 hours from Seattle area. Trans cans, hook ups in a lot of the spots, clean bathrooms, a playground, and some hiking trails that go down by the river. 

Great Family Spot

We stayed in Elk Camp, group sites for RV and tent camping. The spaces were quiet and somewhat private. The showers/bathrooms were clean. Very well kept areas.
The hiking trails were great, with access to the Skagit River, and beautiful views!

Rasar State Park

I had never heard of this park before reserving it, but seriously loved it. It's only about 90 minutes from Seattle. We spent 1 night in spot 16 and the sites are all gorgeous with lots of vegetation between sites. The facilities were all nice and modern and there were trails going right off the campground loop that connected to the main trail network. 

  

We brought our dog for his first camping trip. He wasn't a huge fan of the gunshots that we heard all afternoon coming from a neighboring property, but around evening they eventually stopped and he was able to relax. We will definitely return!

Easy and close to home

Campsite is very clean and workers are friendly. No wifi and very limited cell service. Beautiful place to camp

Very nice place! 

Great trails in and near this park we enjoy walking the dogs and riding bikes and watching birds if you like any of these activities this is the place and fairly quiet as well. And let’s not forget it’s very close to Birdsview brewery 

Fantastic site for young kids. Trails are easy to hike and the sites are clean and well spaced out for a bit of privacy.  The playground is an easy walk from all sites and the bathrooms are constantly clean.

Great for shoulder seasons

We stayed here for 3 nights in a travel trailer and really loved it. The water hookups were shut off during the time, but we were able to fill up our water tank near the entrance without any trouble. The tank dump site was free as well for those with a reservation (otherwise it’s $5.00).

There wasn’t much noise from the surrounding roadways, and the bathrooms were very clean. Verizon signal was okay, and there was no TV antennae reception (if that’s something you need). Beautiful hiking trails as well! Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet spot to camp! 

Decided to camp for the new years holidays at a park somewhat close to our home. This fit the best for what we had planned.  Thanks for the unseasonably warm weather we didn't encounter any snow during our 6 night stay.
