Lone Fir Campground

Great little campground

Lone Fir is the first campground you come to after going through the pass when heading east on HWY 20. Most of the sites have good privacy and there are vault toilets, water, garbage cans, etc. The trail head for Lone Fir Loop trail is at the campground which is a nice little hike. WTA was actually there doing trail maintenance not too long ago. There is a river behind the sites you can walk to too. My only beef with this campground is that it is at a higher elevation so it gets pretty chilly. It is literally about 10 degrees warmer if you keep heading east about 10 miles to Klipchuck. Not as busy though.
