Coolidge State Park Campground

Nice place to get away from it all. Very wooded and private sites. Many have lean-tos and brick ovens.

Secluded and quiet

My wife and I along with our dog Wyatt make an annual trip to CC. There is a great secluded site off the road into the park. Site #2 on the left is a nice open space with a private outhouse and great views of Killington. Only a short drive from Brattleboro area there is a ton of hiking and also some decent fishing. The campground has both tent and lean to sites. Our site was a lean to, well constructed and in great shape. Bathrooms and showers are clean and take quarters. There are also 3-4 sites on top of the campground that offer better vistas...but I find that the sites are right on top of one another, great for a group. But can be annoying if your used to secluded sites. All in all its a great hidden spot. Make sure you visit Calvin Coolidge's historic home not far from the park. 

Secluded Spot at CC State Park

We decided to check out Coolidge State Park after reading the reviews on their website. They have some of the most amazing views right from your campsite. We were not lucky enough to get one because you have to book far in advance to get those campsites. We drove to the top and the view was breathtaking. We chose a lean-to site. There was plenty of room for our setup. The walk to the bathroom was short and the bathroom was cramped but clean. The shower was clean and plenty of water pressure. We were advised that there was an active bear in the campground, but we took the advice of Sean the park ranger. He was very helpful with directions and his staff gave great suggestions. We would absolutely go back again.

A great place to get away from it all!

This place gets my vote for best campground in Vermont. Especially true if you're lucky enough to get one of the few sites on the outside of A loop that has a Lean-to with a view. I grew up camping here, my parents took us up here every Columbus Day weekend when the color of the leaves were stunning. In the summer the view is just as good, just a lot more green.

Great mountain top camping...

Coolidge is off the beaten path but well worth the wander! There are no water sites, it’s on the side of a heavily wooded mountain with a few sites having amazing views! The road can be a little confusing but there is no traffic to worry about. Take advantage of the historical site nearby (President Calvin Coolidge’s homestead) and long trail brewing 😊

Beautiful and wooded 

This park is very small but it is nestled in one of the state's largest forest. There is plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities available in or near the park. The prime lean-to sites overlook the rugged terrain of the Green Mountains. It is especially 
beautiful in the fall. All sites are semi secluded. Our stay was quiet and peacefull.
