We had planned to stay here last weekend with another family. We drove up Thursday to get a walk up spot for the weekend, and 95% of the spots said reserved. Not taken, reserved signs. Even on the very few spots that actually had a W on the post. Not sure how you get the special reservation but the website is very misleading. We ended up driving further up the mountain and eventually finding a great spot in the dispersed camping area. Still annoying to have wasted five hours of our day.
