Cadillac Ranch RV Park and Campground

This place has curb appeal… let me just start there! I have been by it each time I have visited Cadillac Ranch and stopped in to sight see but never really had looked into it for a campsite because I knew it was for RVs only (big bummer). But on my last trip through I went ahead and checked out what it has to offer since so many of my friends RV.

When you first pull in there is a gift shop an some fun "art" 3 large Cadillacs filled with icons, Elvis, Willie Nelson and John Wayne. Then there is a GIANT 2nd Amendment Cowboy that is a must see if you like cheeky stuff.

Inside the gift shop you can find Route 66 stuff and all the souvenirs you could ever want for the Cadillac Ranch, lots of fun items.

As for the campsites:

The sites are pretty even for rigs when coming through and they do offer both single night or weekly pricing. I did notice a few rigs that looked like they were spending some time there but everything looked pretty tidy. As for sizing it looked as though there were both longer and shorter rigs present so there was plenty of room for any size unit, though I would say if you have an additional tow along car you might want to detach before pulling in to make the corners.

Showers seemed kind of small but clean, restrooms were well maintained and other amenities seemed pretty nice as well.

The downside, it is really gusty in this area. I think Amarillo in general is pretty much that way however because of the flat land. While there is a little less on the inner loops of the camp because of other campers blocking the winds, the outer edges can get pretty intense.

No to Tents, but yes to proximity

We arrived late but the neon sign out front was a great welcome. The office and gift shop area had a cool retro style to it. There’s a small gift shop there to grab Cadillac Ranch souvenirs. The lots for the RVs were easy to get to all were pull through and pretty level. Close to the highway so ear plugs would definitely help when sleeping. Easy stay for a night.

We called ahead because we knew we wouldn’t be getting there till 1030 at night and the man said pick any spot we wanted and fill out a envelope and slip it in the trust box. Friendly staff, in the morning we met more of them and they were all wonderful. Unbelievably clean showers and bathrooms. About 1 mile from the famous buried Cadillac art attraction. The neighboring campers were all friendly some of them seem like they stay there long term and they were super friendly. All-around great campground. ￼

What a pleasurable stop

One of the only places we have arrived to and left upon entering. Pros: just off highway; very nice/ clean gift shop (for Cadillac ranch souvenir stuff); very friendly and nice manager or owner. 
Cons: RV area itself didn’t feel/ look safe or clean- run down. Very tight and close together sites. Looked like mostly long long term people, which isn’t bad in &amp; of itself, just an observation- most rvs looked like they had been there awhile and were not super well taken care of; saw several people that looked either super hungover or strung out. Absolutely no grass area for dogs (if that’s a consideration for you). 
 I really can’t think of another RV park type place that we have felt that uncomfortable with that we pulled right in &amp; out and didn’t stay. Definitely not for us! 

No No No- not for us 

Great for a quick overnight. Lots have the necessary hookups, the front desk guy was welcoming and helpful (even tho I had no reservation), bathroom is reasonably clean (showers could use a good scrub), and a fair price. Park is all gravel, some trees.
