Nice campground for hiking, historic buildings nearby and a great camp store. Lots of regulars it seems. Sites are close but not a negative. Lots of loud neighbors the weekend that we were there. Beautiful water areas, great places to take photographs lots of friendly people. Our site was private…
This was our first visit to this campground and we loved it! We were in the area for a golf tournament. Sites are spacious and fairly level. There are options for folks who don’t have an RV: yurts, tiny houses, vintage trailers, and small cabins. Staff is very friendly and there’s lots for kids to…

Beautiful nature preserve with large 50+ site campground. Tent sites around $28. Within 6 miles of stores and amenities. Helpful camp hosts know which sites may be best for certain equipment.
Called in on Saturday Morning got a cabin at a great price for the night. Family oriented place. Older couple that runs it is super nice and friendly but doesn’t bother you. Shower house clean water hot hot. Quiet time is respected.
Overall, Paddy's Creek is really nice. The bath house seems nearly new & clean. The sites are all nicely taken care of, & even though they're a little close together there are enough trees to separate them. Also, down the hill ~100 yards, through the forest, was a nice little private…

You can purchase Carowinds tickets right here and ride a shuttle all day long to the park rather than fight traffic. They enforce the rules really well so quiet time is actually just that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Cabelas, Walmart, and other shopping is nearby for supplies as well…

Nice creek running nearby and a few short walking paths. The drive to spruce pine is scenic and long but head back toward bat cave and there ade neat little adventures to have with the kiddos. The roadside trout streams are great and you can even catch some dinner behind the gem mine in town. It…

We had a great time! Campsite was perfect, staff was perfect, location was perfect. This is a great family spot!
We went for a weekend with our grandsons. Due to our work schedule we arrived after the gate was locked-not a problem, but they do lock gates fairly early. The road in is quite narrow, and if you happen to meet another RV, someone will need to back up. The campsites are packed it really tight…

Just as everyone else described
Snagged a site in the Paddy's Creek area last minute not thinking to check the weather... but we had a great time despite the storms!
Lake James is huge and gorgeous, and the beach swimming area is really nice! Kids had a blast in the nice clear water on a HOT August day & got to watch…
Awesome place. Crazy raccoons.
Boat in sites. Tent camping. Reserve early, especially weekends.
