Lake McMurtry East Campground

Great escape from finals, or a good place to bring family. Watch for wildlife, roam the bike trails, and go after a snowfall for a really magical visit. Wood is easy to collect for a campfire and although some areas do accumulate a lot of trash, you can pick your campsite wisely and get a real gem. Have fun!

Stillwater's Love

This park is well-maintained and has fire pits and gravel camping spots. We normally stay on the west side because we like the shower house and swimming area better. We noticed that they had added a park to this side and we knew our daughter would enjoy that so we stay the weekend, most normally we will go to this lake on a last-minute getaway because it is very close to us. I think people who fish would enjoy this lake or if you are into disc golf or exploring hiking trails.

Weekend Getaway

This campground has one of the simplest, user friendly, online reservation site I've ever used. For me, thats a definite plus. The tent sites are massive, equipped with a table, fire ring, grill, and parking. Four sites are near the swim area (9-12), site 9 and 10 are nearest to the toilets - which are clean, sites 1-8 are tucked back in the woods a little. There are RV hookup sites on the inside of the campground loop. Amenities include a playground, hiking/mtb trails, swim area, fishing dock, and a bait shop. Day use fee is 6$, overnight tent fee is 10$. This area is subject to burn bans and showers are located at the west campground.
