Great Stay Close to a lot of sites

This was a great little campsite for us to spend 2 nights June of 2016.

First the stuff that I didn't like: Our campsite was a little on the small side and out 8 person tent barely fit with just enough room so that it wasn't in the campfire. Other sites were bigger and they do have sites for campers. There were signs up that said there were showers but we didn't know where to find one. I'm sure asking for help from a ranger would do the trick.

Now the good: We were really close to Apgar village and other sites along the Road to the Sun road. The rangers were nice and pleasant to interact with. They also offered ranger talks in the evening at the amphitheater, which was a short walk away. Bathrooms as well as clean drinking water were close by. We also saw 2 deer walk through our campsite. You're also only 15 mins away from Clearwater MT, if you forgot any supplies.

Be sure to bring your own firewood. They are also very strict on their bear control and on making sure campers store their food when away from their campsites. You will also want to be sure to reserve well in advance or have some great timing to snag an opened non-reservable spot. Usually 11 a.m. is when you check out; so if you show up around that time you may be able to snag an opened non-reservable spot.
