Camped in winter and lucked out with mild temps and clear skies. The site was just feet from the shore, and through the night we heard the soothing motion of the lake, with amazing star visibility overhead. The hike to the site was longish for a MN Park “backpack site”, particularly as I did so in the dark and with snowshoes. Except for the stairs, the terrain was fairly level.
