This site is primarily used by anglers, hunters and families for camping. There is a short, .25 mile walk from the campsites to the river, through federal and state land. The river access is operated by the MI-DNRE.

Sulak Campground

We visited during the government shut down, and this site was perfect! Campsites are in national forest but (single) pit toilet was accessible because it’s on state property!! Was amazing to connect from the site directly to the North Country Trail and fishing access could not have been better. 

Great winter site!

Nice and quite campground, the campsites are very far to each other sites. No electricity outlet, nor water pump so be prepared. All in all, my experience was amazing!

Secluded Campground

Great, rustic sites that back up to the north country trail. Very spacious and more than 50 yards in between some of them. 

Great rustic campground 

We are grateful to have found this free campground for our very first destination in our RV life. There are some short but beautiful trails. The sites are mostly shaded but we were able to get enough sunlight for our solar panels. There is little cell signal but with our antenna we could work as well :)

We love it!

Spent 2 nights here and it was awesome. Privacy between campsites but not much from the road itself. Short 5-10 min walk from the river where we were able to see a ton of spawning salmon. Just be careful walking on the road, locals fly down it.
