Winter camping in Daniel Boone National Forest

Free, no reservations, likely fills up most days in the summer. Parts of this campground are open all year, though you need to bring your own water while there’s a chance of frost. There aren’t too many sites, all are green and grassy, forested by nice big trees and green, some along a small creek. A nice little extra surprise was the horseshoe pits at the campground.
