The new owners are trying

The owner said they have had the park for about a year, and have made lots of improvements, but it still needs some work. The sites are confusing. We had site 17, but the water was so far I needed 2 hoses. The electric hook up was too far for my power cord, and I couldn’t reach the sewer hookups…

Nice free campsite

With some fire rings and in May, clean pit toilets. Lots of bugs, but then lots of birds! Right on the Bruneau arm of the snake. The sites are well spaced and not very defined. A local fishing favorite with several huge rigs and generators at one end and someone doing miserable rap karaoke at the…

More ticks than I’ve ever seen in my life

Do not come here during spring! We found 6 ticks within an hour of being there. You might have better luck at black sands RV resort down the road but a local said it’s best to avoid bringing your pets there or camping at all there.

Love this place but...

Trash...trash... trash... trash everywhere. I wanted to cry. Cleaned up what I could take back with me, but there was just so much I couldn't take it all. There's just a big stack of garbage by the bathrooms. Beautiful views, wildlife, trails, but humans have to ruin it of course.

Spring camping

Drove up on a Friday no reservations and got a great spot by the dam. Bathrooms were very clean and fire pits were great. Plenty of room to enough a quick weekend

Beautiful area, lousy road

The road is severely pot-holed. with many lengths being 4-ish MPH if you are towing a trailer. This road is mainly good for razors and toy haulers, not RVs.  Many spots are 1 lane only. There are also washouts intruding into the roadway making it a little tight to get by for a pickup truck sized…

These Yurts are Awesome!

I have only been to there in the winter but I imagine that hiking in is just a beautiful!   You need to bring everything but a bed and stove, which are in the yurt.  Lots of hiking or cross-country skiing in the area.

Nice park near the water

This is one of the few overnight camp spots on the reservoir. It’s not always super clean. The garbage cans fill up quickly and sometimes over flow. Great day access for boats. Not a lot of shade for tent camping, so it can get warm in the summer.

Nice for boating and fishing

This is a little campground next to North Park and Locust Park in the CJ Strike complex.  It is nestled up against the dam and offers nice camp sites with turf grass. Good fishing here.  It is hot in the summer but there are numerous shade trees.  I am a tent camper so this is not the kind of place…

Great open area on water!

Several sites along reservoir with camping literally on the water's edge. Out of probably a dozen sites, most are rv friendly, even a couple of sites for big rigs. This campground is a utility operated natural area by Idaho Power and very well maintained. Fishing, kayaking and bird watching…

Arrowrock off season

Super great spot that is close to town - pro's and con's are already covered and i agree - especially packing out more than you pack in as trash spoils the appeal.  Driving a large bed camper isn't so bad but is slower for sure and the narrow spots can be sketchy with multi-vehicle with trailers…

Lava rocks and prickly bush with a view

Its pretty close to the snake river, and at the trailhead of a non vehicle trail. Its after Celebration Park on Victory Ln, you drive around the park and it turns into a dirt road. BLM or County land I think. Not many folks here. Smells like horse droppings. Pretty rough terrain getting to the end.…

Meh, its okay.

Close to the road, you can hear all the traffic. Close to the boat launch ramps, you can hear all the boats racing to their fishing spot as the sun comes up. Close to an Air Force Base, you get to listen to jet exhaust all day and night. Its windy. No shade. Serious off-road trails (surprise if…
