Riverbend Campground in Hiawassee, Georgia is located among the picturesque Blue Ridge mountains, along the banks of the serene Hiawassee River. Our RV park is in a quiet location with well-maintained facilities and amenities. Riverbend is a beautifully landscaped park that is family owned and operated, which makes our ever-growing park still feel like a small family affair.

Riverbend

This was my first stay at Riverbend. The sites are fairly roomy and many have a lot of shade. I stayed in section H, which did not have shade though. The road and sites are all gravel. My site was very level. Water, electric and sewer hookups were well situated, although the water hookup is in a large pipe about a foot below ground level and mine had flooded from recent heavy rains. I had to scoop out water to find the spigot. There is cable and wifi. The bath houses are very nice and were kept very clean. The campground is only about 5 minutes from Hiawassee, so it was very convenient to go to the grocery store or to buy gas. The highest point in Georgia, Brasstown Bald, is only about 20 minutes' drive. There are numerous trails to hike nearby, including the Appalachian Trail. The mountain views are beautiful. I plan to return to Riverbend next year.

Very nice privately owned campground right on the Hiawassee River

This campground was one of the best that we have stayed at in Georgia.  Our site was a back-in right on the Hiawassee River.  Will most definitely stay at Riverbend Campground again.

Fantastic campground in the mountains.

This is a friendly well run campground in the mountains of Northeast Georgia.  Sites are spacious, level and easy to get into.  The only issue I had was the water hookup was underground rather than a standpipe above ground.  It had standing water around the connection which lends itself to be unsanitary for the fresh water hookup.  Everything else was great!

Great Location

Very friendly. Nice sites. Enjoyed a Thanksgiving pot luck while we were there. River runs through campground. Very peaceful place.
