Huron Peak Camp

A group of my coworkers and I camped here before going to climb Huron Peak. One of our members went up on Thursday to stake out a good spot for us before the rest of us arrived on Friday. There are some great areas to set up a large camp, but availability fills up quick. On the site, there is a men's and women's outhouse. There is a very rough ~2mile road up to the trailhead for Huron peak that requires a 4x4 vehicle with good clearance to get there, our friend had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and made it up while being cautious. It rained a bit each day that our group stayed there, but not for very long. Chilly nights still in July - approx mid 40's (F) at night so make sure to bring enough warm cloths and sleeping things. This was also one of the only spots in Colorado where the fire ban was lifted, so we were able to have a (very well controlled) campfire.
