Best Campgrounds near Lafayette, CO

We had two vehicles we camped in and used one of the tv pull through spots. Trying to reserve online was a bit of a challenge (may have been user error) but I was able to call and the ranger I talked was very helpful in getting a reservation day of and answering all the questions I had. Perfect for a spontaneous overnight trip, we were wishing we would have brought paddleboard and fishing gear but next time! Bathrooms were clean even with all the camper everyone was very nice and quiet!

This place is expensive ($440 a week) but very nice and it let me in with my older rig on the spot... Usually its hard to find places that will let older rigs in especially without a reservation. They also have an art night, and a farmers market and other weekly meetups here. Very Nice community and I feel very safe.

There’s still at least 3 feet or more of snow and ice on this trail. It’s just past the river. Spent 3 hours getting unstuck. Looks like a beautiful spot hence the 5 stars. Will be back once snow is gone

Evans was a huge change from being in the rockies, but its still near estes park and fort collins which have great offerings, and downtown greeley is good if you look around for some fun things to do! Great sites with lots of amenities and friendly hosts. laundry machines are the best ive seen at any campground and the staff even raises chickens so you can get free farm fresh eggs whenever stopping by the leasing office! Check out the riverside park behind the park for a brief stroll as well!

Easy spot to hit that is slightly more off the road than a lot of the other roadside spots along the road. Plenty of solid spots all up and down there in general.

This area is great! There are a lot of sites to choose from and some that are super open. Some within the trees where I stayed. There are many sites with beautiful views and comfortable space. Fire rings at all sites and not much traffic. I slept great here and was very comfortable. Will definitely camp here again

Campsites were nice and well established but pretty close to one another. Campsites 2/3/4 are all pretty close to each-other and you can hear the other sites. It’s a 0.5 mile hike in to the campsite, so plan and pack accordingly. Campsites are along a road (private access only). There was a trash can at the campground which was nice. Also bear boxes. A signed noted moose sightings.

The trailhead parking lot is actually right off of i70. So can be a bit noisy but there are two site on the side of the parking lot that have fire pits. Lots of traffic through the parking lot and people start hiking around 4am so you'll see lights and hear people. Not a bad stay but unfortunately there was a lot of trash around and the early wakeup was a little tough.
