## Overview

 Peaceful Valley Campground is situated in a glacial valley, on the banks of the Middle Saint Vrain Creek at an elevation of 8,500 feet in northern Colorado. The campground has some conifer trees with open grassy areas.
## Recreation

 The Middle Saint Vrain Creek is a good fly-fishing stream where anglers cast for rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. Many trails in the vicinity are open to hiking and biking, including Sourdough and Buchanan Pass Trails. Mountain biking is allowed on the first five miles of Buchanan Pass Trail. The Bunce School Roads are popular among off-road enthusiasts.
## Facilities

 There are 17 sites in the campground. Nine are suitable for RV camping and eight are more suitable for tents. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring and grill. The maximum vehicle length that can be accommodated is 45 feet, although no utility hookups are available. There is a maximum of eight people per site; site #17 is oversized and will accommodate ten people. The roads in the campground are paved. There is one hand pump with potable water, trash dumpsters, vault toilets and firewood is for sale.
## Natural Features

 The campground is situated on the banks of the Middle Saint Vrain Creek in the mostly flat, glacial Peaceful Valley. A mixed conifer and aspen forest covers the area. 
## Nearby Attractions

 Rocky Mountain National Park\_\_??s main entrance is 24 miles north in Estes Park. Estes Park is a full-service community.

Peaceful Valley

Last October, I was planning on camping a night here or at the campground further up the road (Camp Dick). After driving through this campground, I decided to go on further up the road because this campground doesn’t have much trees or space between the sites. Otherwise, the campground is very scenic, well maintained, and is next to good trails. A creek runs along the south side of the campground, and you can start the Buchanan Trail hike further up the road past Camp Dick. There’s also a 4x4 trail up there. 

Just OK

Stayed here overnight for some hiking in the nearby foothills. There are reservable sites, which I would recommend since it's a popular place nearby Boulder for some fishing, hiking and off roading and it only has 17 sites. It looked like about half those could accommodate and RV. The sounds around camp are going to be a mix of some wind in the trees, water running in the streams, and motorbike motors.

There are 2 washroom areas, no showers, and dumpsters. You can buy firewood from the camp host, who I assume is also servicing the other nearby campsite (Camp Dick). Each campsite has your typical fire pit and picnic table. Inot a big campground, but you're is this quiet valley surrounded by mountains and the stars at night were superb. There's an over spill parking lot for your recreational vehicles or extra camp mates.

Clean and peaceful

Stumbled upon this small, nice campground simple because we liked the name :)  It is very convenient from the main highway (which happens to be part of the Peak to Peak scenic byway- a FANTASTIC drive!).  There are not a ton of sites, so it was a quiet peaceful vibe.  Sites have a decent amount of space, not much cover or privacy.  A couple tents were there, but mostly RVs. There is a site right next to the stream that I would recommend- great to fall asleep listening to the water flowing!  Campground host was friendly and had tons of wood to buy for fires. I cannot say I have complaints about this nice little place!  Good distance to RMNP as well as Boulder and Denver.

Stayed at site #1, right by the river, for a night. The host, Preach, will make sure your site is taken care of and in great condition for your stay. The entire campground is well maintained. Site #1 is the best campsite I have stayed at. And the price per night doesn’t break the bank.
