We ended up here because all the other campgrounds around were full by the time we came into town. After heading up the minimally maintained road for about 20 minutes the road opened up to gorgeous views and an incredible lake. Even at the end of July it got really chilly up on top of the mountain but I would highly recommend it. What it lacks in amenities it makes up in character and views. The old abandon mining town was also really cool to check out
