Blue Lake campground is located on a gentle slope above beautiful Blue Lake. The 48 sites are large and well spaced with plenty of shade. Just a short walk down the hill takes you to the lake for fishing, swimming, boating and hiking. There is a paved trail along the east shore of the lake from the campground to the boat ramp. Assistance will be required for persons in wheelchairs. There is a fishing platform just off the paved trail. There is a group camp site at Blue Lake Campground. Campers wishing to use the group site must occupy a minimum of three camp pads and they all must be occupied the first night. The site is not recommended for groups over 50. Signs have been posted at the entrance and the exit of the group site. For fee information, please contact the Warner Mountain Ranger District office at 530-279-6116.

My wife and I stay here quite often. It is a nice campground on a beautiful lake. There is a trail that circumnavigates the entire shoreline and is some of the best birding on the Modoc National Forest. The trout fishing is mediocre but can be good at times. The crawdad fishing is really the ticket however, lots of them and they are big. only downer is it is a fee site.

Stay here a lot!

very helpful when we had car trouble, a bit pricey but worth it for the location. Good portion of the sites are directly on the water.

Beautiful and  secluded 

Lots of sites and plenty of shade. Located above the lake within easy walking distance. Very well cared for with camp hosts present and ready to enforce rules. It is a great base camp for exploring the lake area or the Warner Mountains.
