Goat Island

There's 3 main acres free for camping. No hookups but there are three prong plugs on the outside of the house you're free to use. Also use of facilities inside are perfectly fine: shower, kitchen, toilet, \*laundry\* (ask first). There's a tennis court and a not functioning pool. Cows are always around, behind the fence, and my cat Meeko will likely investigate your set up with love. We're remodeling the inside which is also available for stays. Parson’s Mountain Recreation Area is located in the northern portion of the Long Cane Ranger District. It features a 28-acre man-made lake next to a 23-site campground. The area offers relaxation and solitude as well as easy access to a variety of recreation activities. Highlights include an accessible picnic area. The day use area was designed with an earthen pier, a pedestrian bridge and a boat ramp for non-motorized boats.
