We came for a weeklong working trip. I brought my laptop to work from home and this place was perfect. The view was beautiful and the weather was great at night to just sit outside and enjoy the view. It was a very quiet camp with a great dog park. I look forward to visiting again soon.
This was a very nice campground. Small, privately owned. Very spacious lots, especially considering it’s in OBX. The person we spoke to when reserving was very kind and professional. The grounds are flat, many sites are private / back up to preserve type landscape however sites 51-53 are close to a…

A great nights sleep. Lovely setting, shady and quiet. Bathrooms were brand new, showers were clean & HOT. Coin laundry available. They are in the process of adding another bathroom/shower building so only running at half capacity when we visited. Lots of fun activities for families!
This park was great but do recognize that is a true swamp. Alligators included. The water there does not move therefore is not recommended for filtering for consumption. The campsights are pretty close together so don't expect privacy on a busy weekend. The scenery is TOP KNOTCH! Absolutely…
This place was quite on the off season. Nice showers and bathrooms.
First site we’ve stayed at since getting our travel trailer. Good experience; we didn’t use the facilities aside from a stop in the market and playground for the kiddo, but it’s apparent it’s all well maintained and plenty to keep kids of all ages busy. The beach is larger than expected, and hours…
This park is trying they just became a koa. It can be an amazing campground. Lexi did a amazing job with the kids keeping them busy.. Pro- Park was clean, water front, big play ground.
Cons- store open and closes when they want. Closes super early so don't forget anything if you plan on arriving…

We always ensure we have a couple trips here each season. Quite enough for parents to enjoy and yet they have tons to do for kids. Beach is perfect for little kids as well.
Perfect spot for natural environment and close to beaches.
This was our third year staying at this campground which is about three hours from our home. The access to the Outer Banks was awesome as always. This time we kayaked on the nearby scuppernong River. The swampy trip did not disappoint with wildlife or fishing. The swimming area is still closed on…

This is the place you’ll want to have at the very least a 2nd home. Buy another RV and rent a year round spot because your gonna come back. A lot. Love it here.
We camped in the State campground at Pettigrew State Park. It is a small campground with just a few camp sites. We usually overnight there on the way to the NPS campgrounds on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, though it is nice enough to justify a stay if you find yourself in the area. We visited…
My group and I stayed at the Benett’s creek high ground primitive camp sites 1-3. It was a 4.5 mile paddle to the site, then roughly 1.5 down to the dock with a staged vehicle. The only complaint is the houses near the sites had a dog that barked all night. Super annoying.

This campground was opened in 2019 so everything is very new. The sites are spread very far apart. There are no trees for shade and this campground may become hot in the summertime. Each site is separated by waist heigh field grass. The sites have course gravel for the RV pad and finer gravel…
Not only is this campground surrounded by tall pines and beautiful lakes it is spotless. The campsites are well spaced and give a bit of a community feel with cabins near by the bath house, which also is incredible!!! Heated bathrooms are a plus in our book! Highly recommend 👍🏼
