Nice but loud!

Nice place to stay, green, nice Lil beach however, the train tack is very close and shook our whole camper. 😳 and take note the play area on the water is closed Tuesdays.

What a great place

This is a wonderful park.  There are a lot of things to do and the sites are beautiful.  This review is for the site at Hackberry Hollow.  The sites are back-in sites with electrical hookups and water from a hydrant on the loop.  The end of part of the loop is up the hill above the bathhouse that…

Vast, scenic and remote

The park is huge and takes you along an hour long historic trail that has old settlements, ruins of workshops and beautiful view-points of the Missouri river from the bluff edges. It ends at the Indian cave (boardwalk/stairs to the cave are currently closed to all the visitors). You have neat…

Family fun on the lake and river

This is a nice place to take your kids swimming the water is a little dirty though but it's great because you can access the lake and the river at the same time  the train goes right by here though so it's kind of loud

Abandoned aesthetic

It looks like the grounds were well traveled in it hay day, but today it lies desolate and not maintained. Definitely an experience for those who enjoy getting out of their comfort zone!

Small but Nice

Louisville Lakes has a decent beach area. Not too many amenities but the bathrooms are clean. The tent sites are close together but usually are not full, RV sites ARE full often. Some tent sites are on the river side and I'd consider very pretty. I like Louisville Lakes atmosphere but it can get…

Had the lake to ourselves!

Although there were RVers and a nice group of Boy Scoutspaet of the time, there was no one else in our tent camping side. We had chilly weather, but marvelous views of the water with a rare flock of pelicans! Some of the trails were muddy, but there plenty of others to choose from. Red buds and…

Multiple issues

The power during the week randomly shuts off, the trash is not picked up from trash cans during week, bathrooms not cleaned during week, barely any cell service. BUT, as soon as Friday hits, the trash is collected multiple times a day, no power issues, and bathrooms are cleaned at least once a day.…

Still closed

This park is right off the Missouri river, and everytime there is flooding this places gets shelled. We had some major flooding here 2019, and it appears this park is still closed. It has a great view of the Missouri river when it's open and is close to Bellevue. I guess we will see what…

Nice park, but....

There is a lot of good thing s about this park. There are several lakes to choose from to fish, or nonpower boats. There is a swimming area, beach, and play inflatables for kids in the water. There are playgrounds for kids. Various restrooms in the park, and campsites are spaced fairly well…

Great trip!

Nicely maintained. Nice clean no-wake lake. Gets very quiet at 10:30 curfew. Clean showers/bathroom once the night bugs were cleared out.

Back to the basics

Large park over 3,000 acres, plenty of hiking trails to enjoy. I really didn't see any trails suitable for bicycling, if biking around RV sites its very hilly and hard to ride. Forget about wifi, hard to find if you can find it at all and no attena tv, your really out in the middle of nowhere, but…

Could be that hidden gem

This lake is probably about 50 acre lake next to the town Verdon. It is very secluded small campground. It is basic camping at it's finest. The park was empty when we were there on a Sunday other than a man fishing in a little boat. The park appears to be well maintained and clean, and fairly…

Just might be my favorite

It has been many years since I went to this park. We use to take my oldest here when he was little. We finally came back, and right off the bat, while entering the park we see 2 eagles soaring above. We drove through the park and wow what a ecological beauty. You get down in the valley by the…
