The campgrounds are pretty open, with little privacy, but that’s not what you’re there for.
The drive is intense, but manageable in good weather in a fwd Mazda 3. Mattole Rd from Weott is far better in terms of the road condition, but Mattole Rd to Ferndale is absolutely breathtaking. I wouldn’t…

We stayed for one night as we were passing thru from Oregon to Central California.
- No cell service
- In the trees, very secluded
- Flush potties.
- Nice swimming hole, the water was warm in mid June. This seems to be the primary attraction for this area. Most of the families were gathered…
$15 tent camping site when visiting humboldt redwooods state park. Lots of older folks and RVs, but pretty easy going and not that sketchy.
Took on the lost coast trail. From Mattole River to the black sand beach in Whitetorn town. Took 3 nights finished the 4th day. Overall it was nice but it does get old in the last day. The sand, wind and sun do grow on you. Beautiful scenery but it doesn’t change as much after all it is a beach…

We got very lucky and got the last site available for the night. We were only supposed to spend the night and continue on but we lingered for hours, not wanting to leave!

No charge for showers, decent spot for solo female travelers, super cute tree house to rent for a good price, and other cabins. Keep in mind that anytime your within 30 min of Eureka, CA there will be sketchy people acting nefarious ways. That being said, don’t make friends with the locals,…
Easy to find and easy to drive into.

The campground became full pretty…

This place is great if you are camling gor a night weather its an RV, Tent, or Cabin. However it was a little pricy for what i got. WIFI sucks if you are more than 50 feet from the main entrance and i found human waste near my campground. This However doest surprise me as the bathrooms are far away…
Camp provides showers, bathrooms, water, trash/recycling, fire rings and benches. The spots are very large. They take reservations as drive up day of (if they have space). It’s a little pricy but hey, it’s a state park.

This is an amazing campground clean and lots of amazing spots. Stayed here for father’s Day 2020 the other review is not for this campground this campground is in the Cleveland national forest and the one below is for Shasta national forest.
This is a cool little spot with multiple sites and bathrooms no water electricity about eight sites and it has a cool trail that goes down to South Fork Trinity River and you can go take a dip if you get hot!
This is a absolute beautiful hidden gem in Trinity County located just five or so miles outside of high and palm there is a two campsite campground with bathroom and the most breathtaking views you could ever imagine with the south for Trinity River running right through it plenty of hiking plenty…

We were very disappointed with this park. The staff were friendly enough at check in, but after I settled into our spot, the sewer hookup was on a 45 degree angle and twisted (and seemingly glued in place) so it was running parallel to the ground, plus the cap was not removable. We paid for a…
