Friendly, clean

Nice place to spend time, great people, weekend activities, and overall clean park with nice bath and laundry facilities. There is noise from the highway but it eventually became white noise to us.

  • After Labor Day, the park was pretty quiet

Small and adorable

Small adorable campground. Sites on the main part of the river are close but still felt private. Very close to downtown North Woodstock for great food and drinks, the Flume Gorge, and other great trails.

One of our favorites

We have now stayed twice at Ricker Pond and have loved it each time.  We chose a lean-to, which proved to be invaluable at our last stay, as we were hit with t-storms and torrential rains for a period.  The grounds and facilities are very well kept and maintained, and the staff is helpful and…

Kampersville kids

I am a grandma in my seventies and took seven kids and my daughter to kampersville. There was definitely something for everyone.Teens hung out, boys used those RC (?) cars to run on dirt roads. Little kids rode bikes . I noticed lots of other grandparents with kids. Many seasonal campers.…

Just ok

Sites are extremely close together. Within 15 minutes of pulling in we had a drunk man swearing at us and our children from the lawn of the camp ground. Not sure if he was camping there or wandered off the beach but the campground staff did nothing about it.

A Must Stay in Burlington

This place is perfect if you’re just looking to explore Burlington. It’s right on the bike path (bring a bike) and about a 10-20 min bike ride to anywhere in the city, even the farthest away breweries. Super accessible. The campsite itself is more just a piece of land with tents, RVs, car camping…

Great campground for a pre Pemi Loop night

Great campground. Stayed at site #32. This side was near the street but at night there is minimal traffic. Higher side is by the river so the preferable side to stay on.

There is an area for tents only where you park in a lot and walk to the site.

This campground is first come first serve.

Some…

Great for full timers.

Beautiful place really well maintained. Impressive so clean lots fun activities for children. But for us I couldn’t wait to leave. We are a quiet couple and this place is social And noisy non stop! Groups gather at various sites continuously. I think maybe because it’s a weekend IDK but I really…

Great campsite for climbers

Nice private campground. Bathrooms were clean and recently remodeled. Host is extremely nice and welcoming. We have stayed here on multiple occasions when in the Rumney area for climbing and biking.

Beautiful One Night Stay!

I was super lucky to snag a last-minute spot at this VT state park (my first one!).

There was even a fully built fire in the pit just ready to be lit when I arrived (I don't think this is normal!).

The sunset was gorgeous and it cleared up for a beautiful morning paddle around the pond.

The…

Definitely fine for on the way to somewhere cool.

Sites have a bit of privacy, only a few permanent residents, pool was clean and good, and most importantly it was right where we wanted to stop between two cooler places. If you’re looking for that, or have business/pleasure in town, it’s great. I’d hesitate to call it a “destination” in and of…

Large site secluded by trees

This is a beautiful campground. Bathrooms are nicely kept. Camp sites are huge and surrounded by trees. The water faucet is all over the loop, but you can't connect a hose. No dump station for the RVs either. There's a Mobile gas station in Lincoln for $10-$20 for dump.

Like State Parks Used To Be!

When we first heard of the North East Kingdom of Vermont, we had no idea where people were talking about, but something idyllic and natural came to mind. Ricker Pond State Park fits beautifully into this landscape. Getting here isn’t direct or easy, but the reward is worth it. Leave your mobile…

  • Plenty of space for our little rig, but bigger ones might struggle a bit.
  • Wildflowers and butterflies abound. Some mosquitos, but not bad by Vermont standards.
  • Cute lean-tos along the lake for tent campers, too.

Small Quiet Campground next to the river

I only stayed for one night but it was clean and the staff were friendly. Some sites are more private than others but overall quiet, and in a beautiful spot right next to the river. It's in a great location being near the main roads but far enough away that it seems remote.
