Friendly alpaca farm

We enjoyed staying at the alpaca farm overall. We were the only RV parked right in front of the red barn. There were two toilet outhouses nearby that we could use. And it was nice waking up to the alpacas. Unfortunately the owners weren’t able to do the pizza or farm fresh eggs for our visit. The…

Very pieceful

The grounds are great nice and quite. There is a close lake for fishing and they are open year round which in this area for me is a plus. Unfortunately the bathhouse is very rough. There is no filter on any of the well water so it smells like rust and it looks like it is under construction which…

Busy campground. Rules not enforced.

Camped here for Labor Day weekend. The koa is right next to Indiana Beach campground and we learned campers can use amenities at both sites. Koa has two nice pools (one large pool for kids and adults and smaller one for toddlers). The IB side has a large mini golf course ($8 for those > 5)…

Great place close to home

I took my son for a quick trip, but the camp grounds were full, so we made a day of hiking, biking and fishing…of course we had a picnic, too. The trail head near the fishing dock was the perfect place to park. It allowed hiking one way and biking the other. The trails were very well maintained,…

Quiet country camping!!

Went here with my kids several times over the years. Lots of area for kids to go exploring. Creek running along back of property. We had a blast every time we went!

Beautiful Lake and Many Trails

Took the wife on a day trip just to scope out the area. What we found is a little piece of unexpected paradise! I took a 5 mile hike and she spent the day on the beach and swimming in the crystal clear lake. There are sooooo many trails and they are very well maintained, although if it’s rained,…

Awesome Place

This is one of the best parks we have been to in Indiana. We Volunteer all over our the USA at State Parks and National Forest. So we know what to look for. Friendly people to answer questions plenty to do. And affordable.

Not easy to get to

Clean, quiet campground. No easy way to get there. Close to Indiana Beach amusement park. No major highways nearby, so the drive was kind of....strange. At one point we were on a gravel road. This used to be a Jellystone Park, so everything is laid out nice and spacious.

Getaway to the Windy City

We stayed at this campground last fall. It's easy access, clean spacious sites, and how quiet it was considering it proximity to S.R. 421 brought us back again this year. We visited Indiana Dunes National Park and State Park. Also jumped on the South Shoreline commuter train that took us into…

Great Spot for Visiting the Dunes

I had a peaceful stay in a tent site here. I tried an RV resort park first and my site was right next to train tracks and packed in next to the other sites. This spot was more spacious and fairly quiet with good showers. A great place for a stop when visiting the dunes if the park campgrounds are…

Too much fun!!

Spent 3 more nights here! The hosts are awesome and make sure everyone has a great time! Going back at the end of August! Had a great site that allowed us to fish and be right across the street from the site!

Great campground

We stayed in the off season in a site close to the laundry facility and office. Great campground for families. Our site was smaller however, no one was around us so it seemed bigger. They do have nice premium sites in the front. Loved that it is gated and and key card access after hours. Has a dog…
