Lake In Wood Camping Resort is “home to the gnomes” because it is a friendly place, built to suit the lifestyles of today’s campers (even the knee-high ones). From a weekend in your tent to a beautiful cabin rental, this resort becomes a treasured “Home Away from Home!”

The resort features a magnificent entertainment hall with a beautifully restored pipe organ for hosting grand parties and resort gatherings. Other pavilions are available for smaller groups (the Gnome Bridge Club are regulars). Adults can enjoy the picturesque views and intimate setting of the lake-view terrace.

Lake-In-Wood Campground

A convenient way to camp outdoors. Enjoy a 16' spacious tent that can accommodate up to 5 people on our 20 acres of rolling hills. Just an hour and 10 minutes away from Philadelphia and less than 2 hours from Newark airport. The property is overlooking the beautiful Oley Valley and has convenient paths to roam around and enjoy the open fields, nature, and views. There are fishing locations close by, restaurants, bars, and local produce shops, between 5-20 min driving in all directions.

Sleeping

Our cozy setup includes a spacious king-size bed with 2 Twin XL mattresses, along with 2 extra single mattresses for 2 more people. Need room for one more person? No problem! We've got space on the floor where they can snuggle up with a sleeping bag.

Don't worry if you don't have sleeping bags of your own or prefer not to bring them along—we've got you covered! You can rent our comfy sleeping bags for just $10 each, regardless of how long you'll be staying. Let us know in advance if you will need sleeping bags.



Electricity

Our campsite caters to both primitive and luxurious experiences. If you desire electricity, a quiet generator is available nearby for an additional fee of $30 per day, including gasoline. You can use it to light up the camp with our delightful string lights, charge your devices, and more.



Bonfire

We have a fantastic fire pit available for your enjoyment at the campsite. Feel free to bring your own wood, and if needed, we can also supply you with wood for the fire. Simply let us know in advance how many packs you'll require. Each pack of wood is priced at $15.



For those who prefer a smoke-free and hassle-free way to stay warm, we offer a convenient small propane outdoor heater that functions similarly to a bonfire. The fee for using this heater is $30 per stay or per propane tank (20 lb), depending on which one ends first. Please note that using 16 oz small propane cylinders with this heater is not recommended, as they will deplete quickly.



Kitchen

Our kitchen is equipped with a grill/smoker, a spacious cooler, and a convenient serving table, ensuring a seamless cooking experience during your stay.



We've provided essential cooking utensils, including a skillet, a small pot for boiling water, a spatula, a serving spoon and fork, utensils for four people, and cups. Additionally, grill tools are available for your convenience. Kindly remember to bring your own cooking essentials such as oil, salt, pepper, and other preferred seasonings.



If you intend to use the propane stove for cooking, we kindly ask you to bring your own Coleman 16 oz. All-Purpose Propane Camping Gas Cylinders. These green small containers are commonly available in stores. However, if you prefer us to handle the propane supply, we offer the service at a cost of $15 per container. Simply inform us in advance, and we will gladly take care of it for you.



Restroom/Shower

We provide restroom and shower facilities for your convenience during your stay.

The shower is a field shower, and while it does not have hot water, it offers a refreshing bathing experience amidst the natural surroundings.

For restroom needs, we have porta-potties available. They are conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from the campsite.



Heating inside the tent

Currently, we have a propane heater with a 20 lb tank that can warm you up during the night. Let us know if you wish to use it. The fee for using this heater is also $30 per stay or per propane tank.



Noise

We kindly request that our campsite be treated as a tranquil and peaceful environment, rather than a venue for raves or parties with loud music. While we appreciate the healing power of music and welcome its presence, we ask that it be kept at a reasonable volume throughout the day. To ensure a restful experience for all our guests, we observe quiet hours from 9 PM until 8 AM. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting these guidelines. Thank you.



Property lines

We would like to inform our guests that the surrounding woods are not part of our property. Therefore, we kindly request that you refrain from crossing over into the neighboring properties during your stay.



Pets

We love pets! This place is heaven for dogs, so bring your lovely friend with you and have fun. If you do bring your pet make sure that it doesn't go on the bed and mattresses and that you clean after your pet, even if he or she did it in the forest or the open field. Others follow you and wouldn't want to bump into it. Thank you!



When you leave

Please close all windows and the door all the way.

Don't forget your belongings.

Dumping your garbage at the entrance of the property is very much appreciated!



Our premises offer a variety of scenic paths for you to walk and explore. Take in the breathtaking views of Oley Valley from our swing located at the top of the hills, known as Vista Point. To help you navigate and discover the different points of interest, we have provided a property map. Simply pick one up from the green mailbox at the entrance, where you'll find information on the location of the meditation circle, various vista points, and general property lines. Feel free to embark on a journey of discovery and make the most of the beautiful surroundings.



The Oley Valley and the mountains and other valleys around have a lot to offer. If you'd like to explore the area, please let us know, and we'll provide you with a map or a link to local attractions.

The Space:

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided (you___re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!


Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

These are other amenities, services, or activities that may be provided by your CampKeeper for an additional fee. Please let us know in advance if you'd like to add these to your booking so that we can process payment. Availability of any Extras are not guaranteed and must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to check-in.

In the age of social distancing, isolated time can still be quality time - especially when you___re unplugged and out in nature - and we want you to know that the Tentrr team and our hosts are working together to make sure you have a safe and relaxing experience. Our hosts have been doing a great job ensuring our campsites are clean and spotless for your arrival. We ask that you do your part as well - maintain social distancing, clean up after yourselves, and leave no trace - so that everyone in our camping communities can enjoy these cherished outdoor spaces. 

To limit the potential impact of community spread during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. If you need any assistance, you can reach out to your host through the contact information provided in your confirmation email.

Other Things to Note:
Don't leave too much food left out you might attract the raccoons. But there is plenty of quiet surroundings to go for a short walk. This is also a good central location to camp at and plan your day trips with many activities around Berks County.

Now open and we have vacancies.  Enjoy glamping at it's best in Lehighton, Carbon County PA.  We are located just North of the Lehigh Valley in the southernmost part of the Greater Pocono Mountains. Your site is located just 5 miles from one of the many trailheads on the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L Trail) where you can enjoy a scenic bike ride along the historic Lehigh Canal and points north to Jim Thorpe and on to Lehigh Gorge State Park. Biking not your thing? Treat yourself to a ride on the Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern's Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway out of Jim Thorpe.  Want more of a challenge?  Take in a hike on the Appalachian Trail which runs along the top of the mountain just 3 miles from our camp.  Are you a vintage drive-in movie buff?  Mahoning Valley Drive-in is just 10 minutes away.  Local distilleries and wineries are open to visitors as well as the #9 Coal Mine in historic Lansford, and Eckley Miners Village too.  To the east is the town of Palmerton with many shops and places to eat,, or visit Weatherly for their twice-annual Auto Hill Climb. Sound like a lot of fun?  it is but if you want to just kick back, chill out at your campsite and simply immerse yourself in the tranquility of our forest, be our guest.  It's your getaway.

To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Other Things to Note:
Come and enjoy the peaceful quietness Serenity has to offer.  This site used to be a Boy Scout Camp and some of their artifacts remain.  Look around and you'll see pathways leading to individual Patrol and Leader Campsites.

You will be sharing the woods with wild animals, bring enough food for yourself but not to share with the wildlife.  Please be sure to keep food out of your tent area, and the doors zipped up when you're not in camp.  We have designated cooking and eating areas for your convenience and safety.

Camp Serranova

Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek, which is a stream, is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. Site are a 5 minute walk from main house. The land is flat for walking to the camping area. A slight bit bumpy in a small area. I can manage just fine in flip flops but I did want to provide the information if anyone would be using a wheelchair. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. Tables can be provided. Just let us know ahead of time. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. I have electric available. There is a port-a-potty close by. Showers and bathrooms are in the main house. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use them. Open fire cooking grills can be provided if needed. I have a sink set up for washing dishes, etc.. The fresh water is from our well located on the property.

We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time if you want to check in or out earlier or later.

We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby would be Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton… 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite!

Lots of wildlife in the area. Expect to hear owls, blue herring, cows, goats, chickens, horses, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. There is a good chance of being visited by racoons at night if your food isn't stored away properly. I do have a few coolers if needed. Also, the deer may walk past in the middle of the night as well. We do also get wild turkey during different times of the year.

Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc… all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! We have kayaks available for rental for an additional fee. Guided hikes can be scheduled as well for all levels of hikers.

We ask that you observe the PA noise ordinance. We are located down in a hollow and sound travels. Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. That doesn't mean no sound. Just no loud music and rowdiness. Besides, you will scare the deer away.

We ask that you stay on our property and do not wander onto the 2 adjacent farms, including the pond. We have 6 acres total.

Shambala at Mystic Hollow

Beautiful land with lovely surroundings located on the grounds of my 1850 spring house which I occupy. The camping area is either in the back (wooded and moss) or up on hill with abundance of wildlife. 1 hour from Philly-1 hour to Jim Thorpe. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Swaddled by dense forest this campsite is perfect for anyone seeking a place to reconnect, relax, and refocus. Here you'll wake up to the sweeping views of acres of rolling PA Dutch Country hills, and by night be enchanted to sleep by fireflies and katydids. You'll be sure to be greeted in the morning by white-tailed deer and a few Appalachian cottontail during your stay as well. Access to trails, our creek (fishing allowed with PA fishing license), and plenty of firewood. Soak in why our PA Dutch ancestors fell in love with this land and set intentions for the dreams of your own legacy to come true too.

Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided (you___re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Tentrr Signature Site - A PA Dutch Dromijn - Coleman Cooking Site

Set back behind today's modern agricultural life and be transported to the past in this campsite among a field that was once a Native American Algonquian village in PA Dutch Country. Here in this circular field, you'll discover this untold story surrounded by a living forest filled with wildlife such as white-tailed deer, Appalachian cottontail, red fox, fishers, and raccoons. Follow the marked hiking paths to enjoy the local stream that wraps around the village where you can fish (with a PA Fishing License) for native pickerel & trout. Enjoy your catch (or S'MORES) over a campfire at night and learn about Algonquian legends & astronomy. 

This site is a great space for aspiring astronomers & campers looking to reconnect with a piece of unseen piece of history. Only a 5 minute drive from Sweet Arrow Lake Park.

HOUSEKEEPING: During Covid-19 shelter-in-place our site is cleaned before & after your visit.

Tentrr Signature Site - The Algonquin Gitigaan

Just 1.5 hours from NYC and conveniently close to the Saucon Creek, this campsite is a campers' paradise. The site is bounded by the Saucon Creek and a 30' high limestone outcrop. The campsite is perched 30 feet above the creek, but another trail provides easy access. The site is accessed off a private drive, through a field and down a gentle grade to the campsite.

The site is an easy walk (less than a mile) from the Hellertown Park n' Ride. Campers can also enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking  and swimming right outside of your campsite. Hiking, mountain biking trails and a rail trail are within a mile of the site.  All of these amenities plus paintball and more are available in the surrounding area.
