Great for day use

I came here to hang out during a logging sports event and I really enjoyed the doc area where I sat with my feet in the water. We did not swim (except my dog), but we enjoyed the landscape and the lush green grass they were growing.

I do want to camp in this park but we were camping at another…

Peaceful, great campground!

This was the last stop on our 2 week summer road trip.  We wanted something quiet in the trees, and this was perfect!  There are some really great, secluded sites. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Minimal space but easy to acess

This seasonal campground that has areas to swim. It does have restrooms and a playground for kids. I enjoy recreation here in the summer but I prefer to have more privacy when camping. I do not have phone service here.

It costs 12 dollars a night. There is a grocery store not too far away in…

We had the place to ourselves!

The reservoir was pretty low but the camp site was incredible #48. We had water and electric. Cool little guided nature trail for an evening walk with out little one to learn about animal tracks

Fun Quick Trip Spot

While this is not my favorite spot, it’s very close to where I live. This is my go to spot when I just want to get a quick overnight camp in. I will be returning here soon and will take photos to share.

Depending on the time of year it can be loud as motorists past. However, I have wondered into …

Three Rivers Resort in Idaho

So, I’m not sure why “resort” is in the title, this certainly not a resort in the traditional sense. But, this is a great place to stop if headed up the Lochsa River and has something for everyone.

The “resort” has riverfront cabins, double occupancy motel rooms, A frame cabins, RV spots with…

Beautiful Camping!

This is a backpacking trail. The first half mile is difficult but then the trail levels out and is easy for many miles. There’s free dispersed camping sites starting after 4.5 miles down the trail. There was wood on site when we went in July 2020. It is possible to get to the water (if you have a…

  • This is a camp ground (with a fire ring and vault-like toilet)

Welcoming, Dare I Say Cute

Marvelous gift shop and office host - she was honest and positive. There wasn’t any tree cover between the tent sites and it’s maybe 100 yards off the interstate, but that doesn’t vote this campground off the island. Lots of trees and the surrounding hills are so nice to be around. I’ll conclude…

Pricey and not very private

Decent campground, but I likely wouldn’t stay there again. $20 per night, hookups are available and there were most RVers there. The spaces were all very close together so there wasn’t much privacy. Bathrooms seemed reasonably clean and there was fresh water spigots available. I got there on a…

Absolutely perfect!

We arrived on Wednesday with a reservation and stayed through Sunday morning. The drive from Orofino was a long and winding road along the river and oh so beautiful. The campground was clean, had flush toilets and drinking water, plus a dump station. There were plenty of open spots all weekend.…

AWESOME campground

No site reservations allowed and only first come first serve, so it was a bit of a risk for my family and I driving across the country. Only stayed one night but it was the best night of camping for the whole trip. The fall pines were beautiful and sites were totally secluded. Barely would know…

Hidden Gem . . .

This was the first trip that I had taken to Yellowstone in 25 years. Having just acquired my Dryt app, I was anxious to explore campsites along the way. Traveling with a five-year-old I needed to be flexible and see how far I could go in a day.

We made it to St Regis Campground. It is a…

Lots of amenities

This reservoir camping area has many amenities which make it nice. Great docks on the water, swimming, fishing, bathrooms, trash cans, and even a fish cleaning station. I like how the RV sites have water and electricity unlike most campgrounds in the area. This campground is located conveniently…

Waterfront Sites

Although this campground is right on the road, it also has easy access to the reservoir where you can fish, swim, and boat. There are life jackets for use here next to the dock. Sites include a fire pit, grill, and picnic table. There is also water available and pit toilets for use. There is a…
