This is a very good place to camp. Beach on lake as well as a pool. Very quiet with many full time residents. Most spots reserved for the summer.
This was a great campground. We were tent camping, so the humidity was a bit rough the first week of June. The camp sites were very well maintained and the bathrooms were clean, although lacking some hot water for showers. The camp site map can be a bit confusing as the colors don't always…

Stayed at the campground 7/4/21-7/6/21. Had an amazing time. Bath houses were clean and close to the campsites. Had plenty of activities for the family to do. Staff was super helpful and very friendly. Will definitely be going back.
Absolutely enjoy going to Pocahontas! Great campsites. Pretty separated from each other. Very clean. Good bathrooms. Pool and fishing in the park. Good hiking.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this park. Spacious, paved, and level sites. Several buddy campsites too.
One of the best MTB trails I have been.

One of the best laid out campgrounds ever! Great sites on the lake. Big, flat and just perfect. It’s a big campground so it was fun biking around. There isn’t much else there though. We had to go about 2 miles to a convenience store for wood. The damn is cool to see.
It's one of the most beautiful places I've stayed at. The snack bar and store is a bonus
This was our first time at Medoc Mountain State Park in Hollister, NC. There are bike trails, horse trails, and walking trails at this state park. When we went the trails were too wet for us to do but I understand that they are beautiful right along the creek. We were there with a group of…
We stayed in Cabin #3 and it was perfect. It’s a 3BR/2BA spacious cabin, wooded and lakeside. Great sunsets and nice big deck (some areas of the porch are covered, and have rocking chairs). Kitchen is equipped with microwave, toaster, coffee pot, water glasses, coffee mugs, plates, bowls, utensils,…

We had contacted the campground(CG) prior to our Monday arrival and found the park had plenty of first-come-first-serve sites as they do not take reservations until 1 Apr. Our GPS plus nav app routes varied coming in from North Carolina, but all the roads we traveled were RV friendly. When we…

Every camper’s dream spot. Seriously, this modern giant state park has it all: mostly private sites, a paved road for biking, plenty of tree cover( even in winter) a lifetime’s worth of trails to explore, and clean, legit bathrooms and showers. Firewood for sale by QR code, almost total darkness at…
This campground is beautiful! We have been here multiple times but have only car camped here one night. This park has trails, a sprayground, playground, camping, cabins, nature center, and picnic areas. I love this park. It really is beautiful. We stayed here one night for a vintage scooter…

A few bad tenants should t take away from the place.
Camped on a Friday night, had site 106. It was a really nice site: set back a bit from the road, fairly wooded, not a long walk to the bathhouse water/electric hook-ups, and a long back-in driveway. Nice fire ring with grill (that had been cleaned), lantern/trash pole, picnic table. Pea gravel tent…
