Weird

Between the permanent residents being annoyed with the overnighters and the Jerry Springer style break up that happened. This place was weird. I do not recommend.

Horrible but cheap

This place is terrible, no kitchen, market with stable operating hours, all restrooms locations need updated its not 1970's anymore, guard shack nasty with cats hanging around, showers dirty, poo left in toilets, food trucks expensive, staff not professional, front row trailers looks like sanford…

Something for everyone! Amazing Campgrounds

Very large campgrounds with a large number of sites! If you're looking to stay off the grid, I stayed in M62, the woods directly behind me, no cell service. From what I've see, section JJ has the best cell service, sections N, P, and O overlook or are near overlooking the quarry, H is nearest to…

Excellent Service

This is a very nice campground with many amenities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is monitored and patrolled. Will definitely be coming back.

Tiny and close

This campground wasn’t level and the spots are so tiny I should have stayed at the KOA across the street for larger spots. That’s how small these are here. Our spot is on an incline. Full hookups are nice but dog poop galore. The pet owners here (not all of them) just let there dogs go anywhere…

Fantastic spot

This was (and still is) our last stop on a 7,000 mile road trip and is our favorite park we stayed at in the country. The staff is fantastic, helpful, friendly and always working on making the park better. The facilities are always clean and well maintained. Laundry is free. Internet works well and…

Pleasant Hill is Pleasant!

I recently stayed 2 nights on site 304 which was electric only by choice and when we return we will opt for full hook up since those sites look brand new.

Positives:

  • Lots are spacious
  • Lots of activities: WhoaZone, boating, fishing, horseback riding, near Mohican Adventures for rafting,…

Small and weirdly creepy

I drove through here on a Sunday, and I just read online that the dam may be getting repaired, so that might explain the creepy, horror-film vibe I got from this place. It was completely deserted on an August Sunday, except for two RVs in the small campground.

The sites are shaded, which is…

Awesome campsites

Most of the sites are private and roomy! Tons to do at the park too. Only negative- only 2 dump sites for >230 campsites.

Awesome Staff and Location

Nice little campground near the lake. Great attentive staff and amenities. Pool, mini golf, bounce house, playground. Variety of site types available. Some of the newer sites still need some work, but otherwise ok. For a great in-town dinner try The Chef Shack - great food and a microbrewery to…

Infested Bathrooms

This campsite would have been perfect if not for the bathrooms littered with bugs, insects, and spiders. Otherwise, the campsite was quiet, the tent sites were nicely spaced out, and the bathrooms were easily accessible.

Where’s the crowd?

Delaware State Park is a gem in the Ohio state park system. What is amazing to us is how few people seem to know it exists! this state park is only 15 to 20 minutes away from Alum Creek State Park and yet there are virtually no crowds at all. The park is very large and the campground is adjacent…
