We were trying to fill an empty weekend and found this one! Plenty of room on the pad and level. You have a lot of trees in between you and your neighbor and the site is deep. Lots of room for tents and hammocks. The sun chases you a little but you can always find shade. There is a short walk to a…
This was a great experience! Nice, flat campsites, running water and flush toilets. I believe all sites are electric and we brought a projector/screen to watch some movies.
This campground is usually super booked but noise level was not an issue.
We stayed at site J24 and the only down fall…
This is one of my favorite places. Clean, well maintained, many big lots, excellent facilities and lots to do in the kayak capital of Ohio. We’ve stayed twice in our rookie year and both experiences were tops. We did more hiking this time and enjoyed the variety. Be sure to check out the new…
Between the permanent residents being annoyed with the overnighters and the Jerry Springer style break up that happened. This place was weird. I do not recommend.
Called abd they said they are not taking tent campers at this time.
Plenty of site space, staff is very friendly and welcoming. No problem parking 40’ fifth wheel. Atmosphere is friendly and other campers wave when you see them.
This was (and still is) our last stop on a 7,000 mile road trip and is our favorite park we stayed at in the country. The staff is fantastic, helpful, friendly and always working on making the park better. The facilities are always clean and well maintained. Laundry is free. Internet works well and…
I recently stayed 2 nights on site 304 which was electric only by choice and when we return we will opt for full hook up since those sites look brand new.
- Lots are spacious
- Lots of activities: WhoaZone, boating, fishing, horseback riding, near Mohican Adventures for rafting,…

I drove through here on a Sunday, and I just read online that the dam may be getting repaired, so that might explain the creepy, horror-film vibe I got from this place. It was completely deserted on an August Sunday, except for two RVs in the small campground.
The sites are shaded, which is…
Most of the sites are private and roomy! Tons to do at the park too. Only negative- only 2 dump sites for >230 campsites.
Most sites seem good (from a tent-car camper perspective) / music on Friday nights/ pancake breakfast on Saturday / kayak launch sites / ice cream$2 at the store. The camp has its own beach, but floats / kayaks are not allowed.
I live near Columbus so I may not camp again, but just go to the…
This campsite would have been perfect if not for the bathrooms littered with bugs, insects, and spiders. Otherwise, the campsite was quiet, the tent sites were nicely spaced out, and the bathrooms were easily accessible.
Delaware State Park is a gem in the Ohio state park system. What is amazing to us is how few people seem to know it exists! this state park is only 15 to 20 minutes away from Alum Creek State Park and yet there are virtually no crowds at all. The park is very large and the campground is adjacent…

State parts are usually good parks, but Indian Lake was our favorite of the summer. A large lake, and large campground. Lots of trailer and tent camping, complete with a beach, boat dock and commissary. The campground had an ice cream stand and showed a movie on Saturday evening for kids in their…
I ve been camping at alum creek for 30 years. I love the sites. Shaded and some secluded. Big clean.
Showers always have hot water and ate clean.
