      Mill Creek Recreation Area

      Hidden gem!

We stopped for one night, it’s 4m off the main road. Hidden in a valley. Pit toilets but clean and serviced. It’s free! We loved exploring in the hills.

Fine place to park for the night

Had an okay experience. Unfortunately the bathrooms were out of order when we stopped through.

      Great little spot

We were just passing through, and it was a great option, the creek sounded so relaxing all through the night and it was a beautiful spot to wake up at. It felt very safe, and there were quite a few other campers

      Mill Creek Recreation Area

      Neat Little Spot

Apparently people are reviewing the wrong campground. There are no showers or lake here. Just a nice peaceful campground in a small valley. Beautiful creek that flows close to most of the sites, wonderful sound to fall asleep to.

Most sites have picnic tables, grill or fire pit. Several sites are big enough to get a big rig in if needed. No hookups, pit toilets. Access via several miles of gravel but it was wonderfully maintained.

      Nice campground

Nice campground off the beaten path, next to a babbling little stream. Dry camping with pit toilets and picnic tables and fire pits.

      Was fine

Typical RV park layout, sites were very close to each other. There were only 2 other campers and didn’t see anyone until we left in the morning. Was nice to walk the lake & hang out on the dock. Showers had hot water but were kinda gross. Tent sites had cabanas over the picnic tables with a storage box and light which was nice.

      Mill Creek Recreation Area

Nice basic campground next to a creek.

This campground was easy to find. You can see some of the spots from the little turn off road. Each site had a fire pit, a picnic table, trash can and a pole with a hook (where I think is a perfect place to hang the lantern). From what I could see, this isn't really any easy creek access. We didn't see THAT many cow pies, we didn't even see any cows. Haha. We did get a nice mother nature sponsored light show. See video.
During the breaking down of our campsite we found a scorpion. We carefully relocated it across the way. We also noticed the building of some new sites. They have pit toilets here.

      Clark Park

      Quiet, clean and convenient

Located just around the corner from a full service (Def pumps) Maverick truck stop, this quiet RV Park is a convenient stop along I80. Pull into an open spot in the overnight section and then walk over to the office to fill out an envelope, deposit cash or a credit card slip (4% fee) and then hook up for the night.

The sewer, water, electricity and cable TV hookups are all in great working order in all the sites we saw. Wasn't busy the night we were here.

      Great overnight spot!

Great place to spend the night. Very clean & well maintained. Level gravel sites. Gorgeous laundry facility! Directions to get here off the exit were incorrect. Just look for the Maverick gas station. Only negative was you had to pay for the showers - but the bathrooms were big & extremely clean.

      Great Overnight Stop

Perfect overnight stop on our way back to California from Utah. Gravel pads. Owners were super accommodating and friendly. Called ahead, late arriving. Full Hookups great cause this is high desert and pretty hot in July.

Amazing few and a phenomenal host.

We stayed on this property and had a great evening under the stars and especially enjoyed the view. Edward was amazing and always respond quickly and was so accommodating. We dry camped and it was cold but we were prepared with cold weather gear. We saw all kinds of wildlife and it was very quiet up on the hill. We will definitely be back if we are in this area.

      Thanks Edward.

      Absolutely amazing!

It was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The host was accommodating and extremely friendly/ welcoming. The views from the top of the hill, both day and night, were breathtaking. We brought a telescope with us, and we were able to see Saturn's rings, Jupiter, and multiple other planets. The Milky Way seemed brighter and more vibrant. We will certainly be coming back here on our next trip. We pulled a 36' toy hauler and had no problems. There was plenty of room. I wish we could have stayed multiple nights, but our schedule required us to move on.

      Mill Creek Recreation Area

      Great for what it is

Nothing spectacular but a nice empty and clean spot to stop.

2 bathrooms - one I saw was clean Multiple trash cans Multiple fire rings Sites have tables Stream going through, next to sites kept it a little cooler Some sites have good tree shade

I saw no cow poop as mentioned by someone else. There’s were a few cows about a mile before we got here.

Make sure you take 305 south from battle mtn to avoid 15 unnecessary miles on a dirt road.

You could fit a trailer here but bigger ones will have trouble. Super easy for vans and trucks.

      Easy access and quiet

Great place to stop for an overnight stay. All self-check in no staff when we were there. Good price for full hookups. Has super clean bathrooms with showers. Expensive $1.50 for 3 minutes, 50 cents for each additional minute. We chose not to use the showers at that rate.

      Nice, well kept CG

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. We were in site 54 for one night in late May. The CG is very clean and well maintained. Although, the CG website says they don’t take reservations, as they always have spaces available, but there were only a couple open when we arrived.

AT&T coverage was pretty good, ranging from 2-3 bars of 5G, with speeds up to 9 MB/s. Site 54 had access all 3 western DISH satellites.

      Great Off-Grid Experience

The Biohome property is very user friendly with extremely nice views. Nothing but praise for the site from my past campers.  I also offer a seminar on how you can create your own off-grid living, please ask for more details

      Nice RV park

This place is well maintained - spaces are a little close but not bad. Gravel, few trees. There’s a HUGE dog run that’s really nice. I was surprised that the showers were coin operated.

      Ground tenters need not apply

First, the campground is geared towards rv"s and RTTs and trailers. Most of the sites are pull thru, with several back-in. Normal tent camping wont work.

The facility was clean and welcoming. However, couple bones of contention kept me from giving it 5 stars, here's why:

      1. If you are in a RTT, there is a lot of light in parking lot. The back in locales are right near office, so street lights, cars pulling in, etc.
      2. The two bathrooms were amazingly clean. However...YOU MUST PAY SEPARATELY TO USE SHOWER! 1.50 to start, and a quarter each additional minute.
      3. No change machine!!! Good thing I had 2.00 in quarters, and I take fast showers!
      4. The back in spots are near the dumpsters...so you get an occassional whiff of garbage.
      5. Union Pacific main tracks are about 2 or 3 blocks from the locale, and the sound the whistle all night.

      Lifesaver last December

Very grateful!! They were busy but not full. I had just picked up my brand new 5th wheel. I had gotten snowed in and had no reservations! They booked us right in and extended a night (snowed in again!!! LOL) with no problem. Helpful with resources in the area. Friendly! Clean. Helpful.

      Easy overnight camping

Called ahead, but that was not necessary. The reviews say it all. Pull in, do self check in. Great pull thru spots. Plenty long 90 ft! and wide. Fenced dog area was a very big plus!
