I came here once when we were kids, nothing popped out to me then as a kid.
Recently stayed there with my kids mostly because of nostalgia, my kids kinda had the same meh 😐 reaction.
Has a playground, swimming area was closed though.
This is another good park to come to if you're into…
We had our 1st trip there over spring break.
If you want quiet time, this isn't the best place but if you like a lively and busy one, it's for you.
Large pool, store and Cafe. Playground and jump pads for kids too

Campground is set up for kids and families. Nice pool area and playground for the kids. Concerts on the weekends and red stag and potbelly pigs roam freely on the property. They are in the process of adding more sites and a new entry.
We brought our kayaks and were able to dock at our campsite. We had a lot of fun playing in the lake. The kids also did some fishing.
This place is very kid and family friendly! Upon first arriving in our RV, we checked in and rented a golf cart. This ranch is huge so you need some form of wheels, even if you just bring a bike. We were at site 16 and it is towards the back of the camp. Driving in, the kids could not stay seated…

Needed a place to stay a night, helpful staff, quite, nice facilities.
The cabins are beyond beautiful, and have been well kept up. I have always received THE BEST customer service, and the kids love the play areas. All in all, the best place for a family get away in the area!
First time going. Great place for the kids to go out and play. Ride bikes etc. Only negative is that the beach was over grown by grass and "beware of alligators." Kiddo and dogs had a blast. Will come back!
A great family atmosphere. Sites were roomy. Electric and water. Dump station available. Did not see the park host, but we reserved online. Bathrooms were clean (except the corners had cobwebs). Hiking, biking, and kayaking. We were at site 64, which is directly on the lake. Concrete pad, that was…

I love local so we have been many times just to walk around or let the dogs swim, but have never camped. They offer canoe and kayak rentals. We own our own but have kayaked through this stretch of strong river many times. It’s a nice peaceful trip. As for the campground, the park is run down and…
Lake is currently closed due to damn being rebuilt. There are a few campsites. Boating and fishing allowed, but no swimming
Nice, quiet park. Beautiful grounds. Large shade trees. Many updates are being made right now. Pictures below of some. Our site was pretty level, only needed 2 blocks. Bathrooms were closed, as well as any swimming. This is d/t cover restrictions. Beautiful trails. Much of the park was in need…

On our way to Alabama, we have discovered this peaceful and family friendly place. Highly recommendable.

This is a campground that is very family oriented. They have bands on the weekends. The deer and pigs roam the park, visiting with the campers. A store, pool, rec room, and very clean restrooms. I do have some concerns about it though. If you are expecting quiet, it's not. (Remember kids and…
