Enjoy this free, handsome campground year round. Enjoy the coyotes howling at night and the waterfowl on the still lake in the morning. Go fishing for slab crappie and hunt the sand hills for deer, and bobwhite quail! The restrooms and camp sites are very clean!
Great spot for a close to town quick Getaway. The sites are spacious and clean. The state does a great job keeping it that way.
Very nice shaded sites with water and electric hookup. It can be hot in the summer. Campground is clean and well run. Nice, level gravel pads.
It's a nice site but the people that departed, after our check-in time, left a mudhole and dog poop everywhere. Don't think we will stay at this site again. The water hookups just make a mess
RV Park had your typical hookups. Its really just a parking lot behind a structure that has about a dozen spots available, adjacent to the highway. Privacy and quiet would not describe this RV park.
This really is a city park. One which boasts some really great park amenities- baseball diamonds, playgrounds, pool⦠There are four RV pads with electric hook up across from the baseball diamond, next to the restrooms. I really wouldn't recommend the campground for tents. There is no privacy and a housing community backs up the RV pads. The town seems pretty hip though, so if you are in town, explore the business district.
This loop is not lake front, but sometimes that is best on a windy weekend. Abundance of large trees and shade with plenty of space to spread out without having to worry about the kids getting in the lake unsupervised.
We stayed on a Sunday night in early Summer on our road trip west. The lake was high due to flooding so we were moved the week before from our original booking at Hobie Beach. Really pleased with the primitive campsite we were at. Fire pit and picnic table was well maintained. On Sunday night the restrooms & showers were in need of a clean.
Nature trails are great for the kids.
Bait shop just outside the park entrance was well stocked including ice.
Best place close to west Wichita. Several areas to choose From. Most with large camping spots. All with fire rings. Water and electric available with several dump stations.
Have stayed at this lake many times over the last 35 years, both in a tent and a camper. There are sites for everything. I've even seen people sleep in the bed of their pickup trucks. Full service, no service, whatever you need. Bath houses are cared for daily.
