Indiana Dunes State Park 6/8/21-6/12/21

Great visit to Indiana Dunes. Our first time there. The campground was smaller than expected for such a popular place, and the campsites were a decent size. Very quiet campground and I suspect it being a “dry” campground may have something to do with that. The swimming beach was always busy, but we…

  • Sunset with Chicago easily seen across Lake Michigan from the beach.
  • My kids playing in water.
  • Trail 7 lead us to a wide open beach with very few people .

One more thing…

I wanted to add that when I went to shower this morning I found a very nice, private, updated bathroom (also ADA accessible) where you could lock the door and have the entire bathroom to yourself! Great water pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. That alone was worth the $30 when you are…

Not bad!

Unpretentious campground with all the basics, nothing extra. Bathrooms are clean. Sites are pretty generous in size & plenty available. About 20 minutes from Dunes National Park. All of the National park & state parks were 100% reserved, so this was the next best option. Would stay here…

Clean, Woody and Quite

We arrived late and were greeted by staff a member at our site. Very helpful and friendly. I’d totally stay here again.

Great campground!

This campground is great for families. They are gated. There is a fish pond, pool, and playground. Our kids LOVE this place and we love the security that it offers. Great, family run campground.

Clean. Nice amenities.

We stayed in a 90 ft premium pull through spot. Nice campground that is maintained. There is a pool, fishing pond, and playground for kids.

Season spot maybe?

I came for a 4th of July weekend tent camping one year. In my humble opinion I experienced a party type atmosphere with a bunch of season rv type campers. Tight group of people who spend the summers there. If you have a golf cart it seemed popular. Just not our cup of tea but, if it's yours it…

The willow slough (the slough)

The slough. We like it! I'm being bias due to how close it is to the house. It's $12 a night. Pretty clean campground run by the DNR, lots of acreage to explore. No real trails but if you don't mind roughing it plenty to explore, hunting, fishing, mushrooms, electric motor only boats on the…

Peaceful

Very relaxing, and very quiet. Great shade from tall trees, and a large pond to Fisher paddle boat. Been there twice and will be going back.

Memorial day trip

I am glad I didnt listen to the negative comments I read! This is a quiet and beautiful campground, we were treated very kindly! No complaints except wish there was more to do while we were here. I understand that new owners have taken over in April of this year. They are working on many things! We…

Great campground, will return

This is a beautifully kept campground just outside Michigan City, IN. It is gated so will need to call in once you arrive to enter. We stayed  in the premium sites which were 90ft pull thought with 50A service, water and sewer, and the best wifi I have seen at a campsite. The cement patio was large…

Clean, but no amenities

We just purchased our first Winnebago and needed a spot close to home for a quick trial run. We have three small boys and they were very excited to camp. This is a great place if you need to stay for a night or two. It has full hookups, a dump station, showers, and propane. There is not a lot…
